Job Description

$62,400 - $68,640 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 7 AM - 4

High SchoolResponsibilities Machine Setup:
Interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings to determine grinding speeds, feed rates, and tooling requirements.
Operation:
Operate manual or CNC (Computer Numerical Control) grinding machines, including surface, cylindrical, jig, or centerless grinders.
Quality Control:
Use high-precision measuring instruments-such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines)-to verify dimensions.
Wheel Maintenance:
Select, mount, and "dress" (sharpen/reshape) grinding wheels to ensure surface integrity and prevent "burns" on the workpiece.
Troubleshooting:
Monitor machine performance and adjust offsets or coolant flow to maintain the thermal stability of the part. Designs, builds, rebuilds and repairs the specialized tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, and molds that are essential for manufacturing parts.
