We are seeking an experienced cylindrical and centerless grinder operator, OR a skilled Manual Machinist with strong mechanical aptitude who is eager to be trained in these specialized grinding techniques. Responsibilities Set up and operate cylindrical grinding machines. Set up and adjust centerless grinding machines for thru-feed and in-feed. Machine high-precision components to tolerances within ±0.0002 inches. Dress grinding wheels to maintain specified profiles and finishes. Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and geometric tolerances (GD&T). Measure parts using precision micrometers, air gauges, and profilometers.

Qualifications & Experience Preferred:

2+ years of cylindrical and centerless grinding experience.

Alternative:

2+ years of conventional manual machining (lathe/mill) with a willingness to learn grinding. Proven ability to read precision measuring instruments for quality assurance purposes. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of wheel/workpiece speeds. Sharp attention to detail and a quality-first mindset. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints effectively. Solid understanding of math concepts related to geometry and measurements as applied in manufacturing settings. High school diploma or equivalent The ability to lift more than 65 pounds unrestricted. Works as part of a team and assists with training of others as directed. Communicates and works with a positive, professional approach. Follows through and meets commitments. Follows safety procedures, protocols, policies. While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand up, walk, bend, stretch, lift and reach most of the day during an 8-hour shift. Work efficiently.
