The company was founded in 1974 and has a manufacturing plant in Boise, Idaho with sales offices in Boise and Denver, Colorado. It is a privately held company that distributes equipment worldwide. Currently, we are seeking CNC Machinist / Operator. The candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, efficient, prompt, conscientious, organized, and accurate with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ideally, the candidate will have knowledge of blue print reading and understand part dimensions/ tolerances, as well as the ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other instruments such as gauges. Must have strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities include:
o Willingness and ability to operate between our 3 CNC Mills and 7 CNC Lathes with minimal supervision o Perform machine set-ups including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and work holding o Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and dimensional issues o Ability to make minor program edits at the machine o Duties are those of a Machine Shop atmosphere and the willingness to move around within the shop as need o We do all CNC sawing, deburring, buffing, manual second operation-type work and washing of all parts o Basic knowledge of industrial automation and robotics principles o Ability to multitask and follow instructions efficiently o Willingness to gain a working knowledge of our products and processes o Extended periods of time walking, standing, sitting, and using hands o Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers in a positive and constructive manner o Must maintain a clean and organized work area o Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate machinery and use of hand tools o Willingness to work in Machine Shop / Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, machining lubricants, etc. o Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. It is expected that the individual will eventually have a working knowledge of the products and will be able to operate independently with minimal supervision. The individual is expected to work 40 hours a week. Normal operating hours are 7:00 am•3:30 pm Monday through Friday. Wage $20.00•$27.00. DOE.
