Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist (Conventional Lathe & Mill) with experience setting up and operating conventional machines including lathes and mills. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently from blueprints and take ownership of machining operations from start to finish. Responsibilities Set up and operate manual/conventional lathes, mills, grinders, and related equipment Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications Determine machining operations, tooling, and setup requirements from prints Select tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for machining operations Hold tight tolerances and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools Perform first-piece and in-process inspections Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust machine setups as needed Work independently in a shop environment with minimal supervision Qualifications 3+ years of manual machining experience Ability to perform full setups independently Strong blueprint reading skills Experience selecting tooling, speeds, and feeds Comfortable working with minimal supervision What We're Looking For Dependable and consistent work history Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work in a team-oriented shop environment Willingness to grow and develop machining skills
Pay:
