The pay rate for this position is:
Pay Rate:
$18-20/hr+ depending on experience
Responsibilities:
Manual/CNC Machinist has the following responsibilities and duties: Responsible for the set-up and operation of Bridgeports, Manual Lathes, CNC Lathes and Mills to manufacture parts according to blueprints and other specifications. Control and adjust machine settings. Offsets and Programming Set up or assist in set up of machines (calibration, cleaning, etc) to start a production cycle Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools. Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws. Keep records of approved and defective units or final products. Maintain activity logs.
Requirements:
Manual/CNC Machinist should have the following skills, education, and experience: Working knowledge of, and actual experience working with, various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks and surface gauges. Knowledge of shop mathematics and CNC programming Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
Abilities:
Standing, bending, some moderate to heavy lifting and able to do long hours of repetitive work. Must be able to understand and complete departmental paperwork. Teamwork-oriented Quality conscious Accurate and detail oriented. Must be able to train in the proper use of other assembly line equipment including (but not limited to) forklifts, overhead hoists, and pallet jacks.
