Job Title:

CNC Machinist 1st & 2nd Shift $20-$32/hr Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The role involves planning and setting up machining operations mills and lathes, and maintaining high-quality production standards. Responsibilities Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Manage stock inventory, anticipate stock needs, and ensure timely procurement. Program mills and lathes by entering precise instructions and calculating necessary requirements. Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting various components and tools. Load feed mechanisms and verify settings by measuring initial and sample workpieces. Observe and maintain specifications during operations, troubleshoot processes, and ensure quality assurance. Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to maintain safe operations. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions. Document and communicate actions and irregularities to maintain continuity among work shifts. Complete production and quality logs to document actions. Engage in educational opportunities to update job knowledge and skills. Essential Skills 3 -5+ years of CNC Machining Proficiency in machine operation, blueprint reading, and the use of calipers for inspection. Strong foundation in basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. Experience with various machining equipment and technologies. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Conceptual and process improvement skills. Strong verbal communication and technical skills. Proficiency in inventory control and supply management. Attention to detail and good judgment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
