Headquartered in the greater Philadelphia area, we support manufacturers nationwide with high-quality CNC and conventional machines and a full range of fabrication equipment. We are a collaborative, team-oriented company, with our Schiller Park, IL office serving as a key service and showroom hub near O'Hare International Airport. We are seeking a hands-on Service Technician to join our Schiller Park, IL team. This role is primarily based in our Chicago warehouse and showroom, with occasional travel for installations, major trade shows (IMTS, FABTECH), and large machine deliveries. Travel typically accounts for 25-35% of the position. As KAAST continues to grow and expand, the ideal candidate should be flexible and open to seasonal fluctuations in travel as needed. Tasks & Responsibilities Prepare machines for shipment to end users. Uncrate new machine tools, power up, perform full testing of all machine capabilities, and issue written inspection reports. Perform customer demonstrations and operator walkthroughs. Provide technical phone support and on-site service as needed to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve machine issues for customers in a timely manner. Accurately document service activities, repairs, and maintenance procedures. Skills & Qualifications Hands-on experience with machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, saws, etc.) Industrial electrical (3-phase) knowledge and troubleshooting ability. Strong mechanical aptitude with previous industrial machine tool repair/installation experience. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
