This position is responsible for programming, setup, operation, and quality verification of CNC lathes while maintaining high standards for precision, productivity, and workmanship. Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes, with preference given to experience on Mazak equipment. Create and edit Mazatrol programs for lathes equipped with live tooling. Select and apply proper tooling, cutting parameters, speeds, and feeds for various materials and machining processes. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD part files. Manufacture parts to specification while maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements. Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment. Perform in process inspections and make offset or program adjustments as necessary. Create, maintain, and update machine setup documentation and process sheets. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues to improve efficiency and consistency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status and process improvements. Requirements Minimum 3 years CNC lathe setup and operation experience preferred. Experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol programming strongly preferred. Experience with live tooling operations. Strong understanding of tooling selection, speeds, feeds, and machining principles. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD models. Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment. Basic computer skills required. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Pay:
$30.00 - $36.00 per hour
