Job Description
CNC Setup Machinist (Milling + Lathe Exposure) We're hiring an experienced CNC Setup Machinist with hands-on experience in 3, 4, and 5-axis environments. This is a true setup role — not an operator position. You'll take jobs from program review through setup, first article, and into production. What You'll Do Perform full setups on CNC mills (Fanuc horizontal/vertical mills and Haas VF2) Review and validate CNC programs (Mastercam or similar CAM systems) Select tooling, set offsets, and establish workholding Read and interpret complex blueprints including GD&T Run first article parts and ensure quality standards are met Troubleshoot machining and program issues independently Improve setup efficiency and support production Maintain quality standards aligned with AS9100 What You Bring 5+ years of CNC milling setup experience Experience with Fanuc and/or Haas controls Hands-on 3-axis and 4-axis machining (5-axis preferred) Strong blueprint reading and tolerance interpretation Ability to complete setups independently Solid understanding of tooling, feeds/speeds, and machining strategy #PEG1
