CNC Mill Machinist

Duties Operate CNC milling machines, including CNC lathes and milling centers, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are maintained. Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise parts. Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and verify programs for accuracy before production runs. Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and make necessary adjustments for quality control. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as Fanuc or similar controls. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T standards for precise machining. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling setups, fixture design, and machining processes involving plastics injection molding or metal components. Ability to use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges effectively. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances accurately. Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures including proper use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and welding equipment. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of working independently or as part of a team committed to quality excellence.
