Danaher Business System. A Day in the Life in Indianapolis, IN (On-Site) You begin your shift on the manufacturing floor, reviewing the day's preventive maintenance plan for our CNC assets supporting Life Science Products. With a multimeter and infrared scanner in hand, you verify critical parameters, inspect equipment to OEM specifications, and log findings in the work order system. An unexpected alarm triggers on a machining center—hydraulic pressure deviates from norm—so you dive into diagnostics, collaborate with contractors and peers, and isolate the issue via schematics, wiring diagrams, and software checks. You order the necessary replacement components, finalize root-cause notes, and perform precise adjustments to restore peak performance. Before close, you confirm uptime metrics are trending upward and schedule the next predictive service. What You'll Own Advanced mechanical service and repair across CNC machines and related production equipment End-to-end troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software-driven faults Root-cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and meticulous documentation of work orders Predictive and preventive maintenance execution; recommendations to improve safety, quality, and availability Testing, calibration, and fine-tuning of systems and components to sustain reliable CNC operation Cross-functional collaboration with contractors and maintenance teammates to resolve issues quickly Reporting This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing/Process Engineering and is based on-site at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences in Indianapolis, IN. What You'll Bring Associate's degree and 2+ years working with CNC machinery and/or repair/troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment Physical capabilities: lift up to 25 lbs; stand for extended periods; perform repetitive arm/wrist motions Nice to Have Clear communication, time management, and organizational strengths Fluency in reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Experience in medical industry environments or machinery relocation/installation Welding and fabrication exposure Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Benefits Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher operating company, offers comprehensive, competitive benefits that support life beyond work—from health care to paid time off.
