Job Description

Position Overview dormakaba is seeking a Machinist I, II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist I, II is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, and adjusting as necessary. This position provides training to lower-level machinists. This position may be available on First Shift (6AM
  • 2:30PM), Second Shift (2PM
  • 10:30PM) or Third Shift (10PM
  • 6:30AM) with a base pay range of $23.50/hr.
  • $35/hr.
Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). Please visit our career site for more information on benefits. $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview) What you will do Operate machine according to standard operating instructions Perform machine setups, tool changes, and make adjustments as necessary Perform minor troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of the equipment Monitor the quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP) Follow all Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) policies & procedures including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) What we require High school diploma or equivalent Extensive experience of machine operating, setups, tool changes, etc. Ability to operate/run multiple machines simultaneously Ability to perform advanced quality inspections Understanding of shop math & blueprint reading/comprehension
