(PMI), a water supply contracting company, is seeking applicants at its Mishawaka, IN office location. PMI has expertise in all facets of the water supply space including hydrogeologic studies, large diameter well construction, pumping equipment supply and repair, water treatment, control systems and maintenance services. Responsibilities Take precise measurements and mark materials for cutting, shaping, and assembly Select appropriate tools, materials, machine settings, speeds, and batch sizes for production Plan and execute the proper sequence of machining operations to complete jobs efficiently and accurately Tear down pump assemblies for inspection, repair, and rebuilding Build pumps and associated parts according to specifications and quality standards Monitor machine performance and product quality, making adjustments as needed to maintain specifications Inspect output to ensure consistency with specifications Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed Perform occasional field work and on-site service support Qualifications Vocational training, technical certification, or apprenticeship experience preferred Experience operating and/or programming machining equipment and tools Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to accurately use precision measuring tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings Knowledge of metal properties, machining practices, and materials Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality workmanship Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Good verbal and written communication skills Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods Valid driver's license preferred for occasional field work Peerless Midwest takes pride in being 100% employee-owned through our ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), where every member of our team has the opportunity to participate in ownership of the company, ensuring that our success is shared among all employees. ____________________________________________________________________________ We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law . ____________________________________________________________________________
