Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Production Machinist (Level 1) at Precision Medical Technologies is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality medical components. This role is crucial in ensuring that all products meet industry standards and client specifications, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor CNC machines and other production equipment to manufacture medical components according to specifications. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments to machinery as required. Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and improve production efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Document production activities and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of new machinery and production techniques. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and provide support in resolving technical challenges.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a vocational program in machining or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a medical device or precision machining industry. Experience with operating and maintaining CNC machines and manual machining equipment. Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product quality and precision. Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic machining issues independently. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines. Basic computer skills for data entry and machine operation software.
