Manual Machinist

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.

Essential Functions:

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, or saws, monitoring speed and feed of machines..
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and BOM's to fabricate and machine parts.
• Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications and maintain consistent production quality using precision instruments such as micrometers.
• Position and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachment, accessories, and materials onto industrial machines.
• Determine methods and sequence of operations needed to fabricate products and determine product dimensions and tolerances from blueprints, drawings, or engineering information.
• Proper use and care of hand and power tools.
• Perform routine safety inspections of equipment and notify supervisor of any problems.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements, follow safety procedures when lifting, pushing, or pulling material and attend all required safety training.

Pay:

$18.00 - $32.00 per hour
