Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain a variety of precision machining equipment, including CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and mechanical knowledge will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems. Program CNC machines utilizing CNC programming skills and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts with precision. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure parts meet exact dimensions and tolerances. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part accuracy throughout the manufacturing process. Maintain tooling, tooling changes, and machine calibration to optimize production quality and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and other manufacturing tools. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction. Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring parts are correctly fitted according to specifications. Experience Proven experience operating CNC machining equipment such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc or similar control systems. Strong background in blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or similar for interpreting designs. Hands-on experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and welding techniques is a plus. Ability to use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting machining issues. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency within production workflows. Valid certification or demonstrated proficiency in safety procedures related to power tools, forklift operation (if applicable), and other manufacturing equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
