In this role, you will set up and operate CNC milling machines and multi-axis machining centers to produce tight-tolerance components for aerospace, aircraft, and defense programs. This is a 2nd shift, union shop position offering strong benefits, overtime opportunities, career development, and potential relocation assistance for qualified candidates. Duties Set up and operate CNC mills and 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers to produce precision aerospace components. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, technical drawings, and inspection requirements. Perform machine-side quality checks to verify part dimensions and ensure parts meet strict tolerance standards. Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment. Make tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production standards. Work with CNC equipment and controls such as Mazak, Haas, Makino, Okuma, Fanuc, Mazak controls, Haas controls, and Okuma OSP. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop safety standards. Support production goals in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. Work overtime during the week or on weekends as needed and available. Requirements CNC machining experience required. Experience running 3, 4, or 5-axis CNC machines preferred. 5-axis mill experience is strongly preferred. Setup experience is preferred, but training may be available for qualified candidates. Ability to perform quality checks at the machine. Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings. Familiarity with tight-tolerance machining in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing is a plus. Experience with machines or controls such as Mazak, Haas, Makino, Okuma, Fanuc, or Okuma OSP is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a production environment. CNC programming experience is not required for this role.
Pay and Schedule Pay:
$23.74 - $39.04 per hour,
DOE Shift:
2nd shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00
PM Overtime:
Available during the week and on weekends
