  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual machining equipment to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in reading blueprints, utilizing precision measuring instruments, and applying mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure high-quality output. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex manufacturing projects while honing your craftsmanship in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Duties Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements Operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and other machining tools with precision Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions and tolerances Select and set up appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job to ensure accuracy and efficiency Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime Follow safety protocols rigorously while handling power tools, welding equipment, and other machinery Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring parts meet quality standards before final inspection Requirements Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role within manufacturing or metalworking environments Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation is a plus but not mandatory; familiarity with CNC lathe and milling machines such as Fanuc controls is advantageous Proficiency in reading and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) drawings for precise machining Mechanical aptitude with understanding of plastics injection molding, welding techniques, and tooling setup Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for reviewing designs is preferred Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste Valid forklift certification is desirable for material handling tasks Strong attention to detail combined with excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Join our team if you're passionate about craftsmanship, eager to develop your skills in a collaborative environment, and committed to producing top-tier components with precision.
