CNC Milling Machinist - Permanent Role $40/hour Personnel People - 4.0 Avon, MA Job Details Full-time Up to $40 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Bore gauges Contamination control Attention to detail ASME codes & standards Milling machines Full Job Description Position Type; Direct Hire/Full-Time Job Responsibilities Perform complete CNC machine setups including fixturing, work holding verification, tool selection, presetting, and offset adjustments for 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers Operate multi-axis CNC milling machines to manufacture complex precision components with tight tolerances and medical-grade surface finishes Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and GD&T requirements per
ASME Y14.5
standards Follow Device Master Records (DMRs), work instructions, manufacturing routers, and other controlled documentation Conduct and document first article, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with
ISO 13485
requirements and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Utilize precision measuring equipment including micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and other calibrated metrology tools Maintain proper material control, lot traceability, labeling, and documentation throughout the manufacturing process Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear, surface finish deviations, geometric drift, and fixture instability Communicate technical and quality concerns with engineering and quality teams to support process improvement and product conformity Maintain machine cleanliness, lubrication, and preventive maintenance schedules in accordance with regulated manufacturing standards Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience required Experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated precision manufacturing environments preferred Strong proficiency in 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling setup and operation Advanced understanding of GD&T per
ASME Y14.5
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and controlled manufacturing documents Working knowledge of ISO 13485 and
ISO 9001
quality standards Familiarity with medical device machining requirements including burr control, surface finish standards, and contamination prevention Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Schedule Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Compensation Up to $40.00 per hour based on experience Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Group life and voluntary life insurance Accrued paid time off 9 paid holidays 401(k) with company contributions FMLA eligibility
