Shape your leadership path. Start your day at a clean, organized CNC cell where blueprint-driven parts are the focus. You will set up and operate CNC turning, lathe, mill, and mill-turn equipment to meet exact customer specifications, perform in-process inspections to print callouts, and keep production flowing safely and efficiently. What you will do Machine customer parts on CNC turning, lathe, mill, and mill-turn equipment to blueprint and specification using CNC programs. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections; deburr parts per requirements and verify results meet callouts. Maintain part identification and lot segregation at all times; complete job travelers and other documentation accurately. Detect, segregate, and report nonconforming material and foreign object debris; apply proper control and documentation for nonconforming product. Assist with packaging and shipping of finished parts. Report damaged or nonconforming components promptly to team leaders/manager and raise any safety concerns observed. Work to AS9100D and customer-specific requirements, supporting a disciplined, traceable process. Leadership track (optional) Interested in stepping up? In the lead option, you will: Oversee and schedule the turning or milling area. Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes. Program, implement upgrades, and verify outcomes from changes. Collaborate with the milling or turning lead on first-piece inspections. What you bring Strong print reading with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing understanding. Ability to multitask, including running more than one machine and measuring parts while other parts are running. Dexterity, attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization. Safety focus with a solid safe-work record and a team-first mindset within an AS9100 environment.
Comfort using inspection tools:
calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gage blocks, and other measurement devices. Good math and communication skills. Familiarity with an AS9100 shop environment.
Plus factors:
Brown & Sharpe Micro-Val CMM experience and CMM Manager software. Training and education Familiarity with Jet Machined Products inspection forms and record-keeping practices. AS9100 awareness. High school diploma or GED (vocational or non-vocational). Reporting structure You will report to the Turning/Milling Lead. If serving as the Lead, you will report to the General Manager. Physical and work environment Must be able to lift and move machined parts. Clean, relatively quiet environment; hearing protection required in some areas. Eye hazard potential; eye protection required for certain operations. Schedule Occasional overtime, dependent on workload.
