Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist and become a vital contributor to precision production! In this energetic role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our manufacturing processes. We are seeking a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces continuous improvement, and is passionate about craftsmanship and precision. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance. Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts with precision. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing. Utilize precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Use hand tools, power tools, tooling, and welding equipment for assembly or repairs as needed. Apply electrical discharge machining techniques when required for intricate or hard-to-machine parts. Ensure adherence to safety protocols by properly handling tooling, plastics injection molding components, and operating forklifts when necessary. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction. Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspection reports, and shift logs for quality assurance purposes. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathe and CNC milling machines with a strong understanding of Fanuc controls or similar systems. Proficiency in CNC programming using CAM software; experience with SolidWorks or CAD is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, mechanical concepts, and manufacturing standards. Familiarity with precision measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in tooling setup, welding, assembly, and use of hand tools. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, lean manufacturing practices, and power tools is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Embark on a career where your skills make an impact! We value proactive individuals eager to learn new techniques while delivering top-tier craftsmanship every day. Join us in creating precision-engineered products that meet the highest standards of quality!
