Minimum Requirements:
  • Eighteen (18) years of age
  • High school diploma or GED Preferred (Not Required):
  • Ten + (10+) years of verifiable and recent work experience as a Journey Level Machinist, consideration to those with under 10 years' experience may be given based on skills and qualifications, gained through on-the-job training
Job Duties:
  • Operate a variety of machinery including lathes, mills, drills, grinders, and horizontal, vertical boring machinery as required for the manufacture and repair of various parts, assemblies and components
  • Lift and carry material up to 60 pounds
  • Understand and read instructions and blueprints written in English
  • Other duties as assigned
Employer Notes:
  • Have or obtain toolbox and hand / measuring tools
  • Attendance in this position is very important
  • Employee will need to pass an occasional assessment to include: Measuring outside diameters, bores and depths using micrometers and depth micrometers; operate lathe and mill; manufacture parts with the following attributes: concentricity, parallelism and perpendicularity, while maintaining tight tolerances; demonstrate knowledge of tapping, boring, and single point threading processes
Hours:
  • Full time, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
