From $28.00/hour (higher compensation available based on experience)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for machine setup, operation, programming support, quality inspection, and process improvement in a precision machining environment. Candidates should be comfortable working independently while maintaining production schedules and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate multi-axis CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, machining drawings, work orders, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Produce precision-machined components while maintaining required tolerances.
  • Inspect completed parts using standard measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Edit existing CNC programs and create new programs when needed.
  • Develop and improve fixturing and setup methods to support efficient production.
  • Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and setup issues to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor production schedules and complete assigned work with minimal supervision.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and preventative upkeep.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with production leadership on tooling, fixtures, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications
  • Experience performing complete CNC machine setups in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling selection, feeds and speeds, and setup procedures.
  • Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel materials.
  • Ability to verify part quality using precision inspection equipment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and solve machining-related issues. Preferred Experience
  • 3+ years of CNC programming and program editing experience.
  • 4-5 years of fixture design, setup development, or production process improvement experience.
  • 3+ years of experience using SolidWorks CAM Professional.
  • Experience supporting both prototype and production machining operations. Skills
