Senior Machinist Level 3 (Metal Fabrication Shop)

Job Summary Our established, century-old company serving the hospitality and construction industries is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Senior Machinist (Level 3) to join our growing metal fabrication team at our East Baltimore office. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience who brings strong expertise in both manual machining and CNC operations , along with forming experience. You will work in a modern, well-equipped shop utilizing advanced laser cutting systems and both manual and CNC press brake machines , delivering precision, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot manual machines as well as CNC equipment Program and optimize CNC machines to ensure precision and efficiency Operate Amada and Mazak laser cutting machines for high-quality production Set up and run both manual and CNC press brake machines for accurate forming and bending Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications Maintain tight tolerances and ensure consistent quality workmanship Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on equipment Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and output Support floor manager and mentor junior machinists when needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with shop safety standards Required Qualifications 15+ years of experience in metal fabrication or machining Strong background in manual machining (mills and lathes required) Advanced experience with CNC machining and programming Proven ability to operate manual and CNC press brake machines Experience with laser cutting equipment (Amada, Mazak preferred) Solid mechanical knowledge, including machine maintenance and troubleshooting Ability to work independently from complex drawings and specifications High attention to detail and strong work ethic Preferred Skills Experience with CAD/CAM or SolidWorks software Background working in a modern, technology-driven, ISO-compliant fabrication environment What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience: $33-$42 per hour 401(k) with company match Healthcare options including medical, dental, and vision Short-term and long-term disability coverage Life insurance Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays Holiday bonus Air-conditioned work environment Opportunity to work in a casual, respectful, and collaborative environment Access to modern fabrication tools and software systems
