CNC Machinist Apprentice (Frederick, MD)

CNC Machinist Apprentice (Frederick, MD) Responsibilities

• Program software to run CNC Machine
• Set-up and Machine Aluminum Housings and Covers for day and night runs
• Clean and deburr all finished parts
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional tolerances to drawing specifications
• Maintain CNC Machine at all times
• Operate Manual Drill Press, Band saw, and Grinder as required
• Painting of Finished Hardware using Military Grade Epoxy Paint
• Maintenance of CNC Equipment, Manual Machines and Tools
• Keep Machine Shop clean at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have proficient Desktop Computer skills
• Able to read & understand Mechanical Drawings, Dimensions and Tolerances
• Understanding of Feed Rates for End Mills and Drills
• Detail oriented and can work with minimal supervision
• Multitasker (able to keep several processes running at once)
• Experience using CNC Milling and G-Code preferred (willing to train)
• Experience programming

HAAS CNC

using GibbsCAM preferred (willing to train)

• Experience in AutoCAD preferred
• Experience in SolidWorks a plus.

Education:

High School Diploma, College PreferredExperience:
