Job Description
CNC Machinist Job Description This position is for a 3rd shift CNC Machinist working from 8 PM to 6 AM, with 50-hour work weeks and optional weekends. A flexible work schedule is available. The role involves working with various types of CNC machines, including mills, lathes, screw machines, and grinders, in a high-volume, high-precision environment. The shop produces over 9 million small parts per year, with tolerances of +/- 10-20 microns, using various types and thicknesses of steel. Responsibilities Attend daily meetings to understand shift assignments and work stations. Operate and manage up to three CNC machines simultaneously. Perform up to eight or nine tool changes per day across all machines. Load CNC machines, pull and make minor edits to programs as needed. Conduct quality checks with micrometers and calipers every 300-400 parts. Ensure parts are stored and shipped to customers daily. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years experience on CNC Machines (Screw Machines, Mills, or equivalent). Proficiency in reading blueprints with at least 2 years of experience. Experience performing machine tool changes for at least 2 years. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in CNC programming is a plus. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $52000.00/yr. Pay for Skills program. This program gives employees the opportunity to complete courses and increase their hourly wage. Course work needs to be done on the employee's own time and after a Home Competency is completed, there are 5 more courses employees can complete, getting a $.50 increase upon completion of each course outside of the Home Competency. All benefits but 401k are effective on the start date, and he will be eligible to participate in the 401k plan on the first month proceeding.
