CNC Setup Machinist - Horizontal Mills (Makino) | Flexible Shifts Job Summary We are hiring CNC Setup Machinists to support production on horizontal CNC milling machines , including Makino systems . This role is ideal for machinists looking for flexible scheduling , including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, weekend, and part‑time shifts . You will be responsible for machine setup, changeovers, and maintaining quality parts in a clean, climate‑controlled manufacturing environment. Available Schedules 1st Shift 2nd Shift 3rd Shift Weekend Shift Part‑Time options available (We are flexible and will work with your availability.) Responsibilities Set up and run horizontal CNC milling machines (Makino experience preferred) Perform machine changeovers and setups efficiently Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Make offsets and basic adjustments to maintain tolerances Inspect parts using micrometers and other precision measuring tools Conduct in‑process quality checks to ensure specifications are met Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status Required Qualifications CNC machining experience with an emphasis on setup Ability to read and interpret blueprints Experience with horizontal CNC mills (Makino preferred but not required) Strong attention to detail and quality Comfortable using precision measuring tools Ability to follow safety and work instructions Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in horizontal milling environments Familiarity with in‑process inspection and documentation Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills Why Work With Us?
