CNC Machinist Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist with advanced experience in both lathe and mill operations, particularly with Okuma and FANUC controls. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Mastercam programming and be capable of setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines with minimal supervision. Experience in welding is a strong plus. Also looking for a skilled manual machinist! Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, specifically Okuma and/or FANUC. Program parts using Mastercam software. Interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints. Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools. Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines. Perform welding tasks as needed. Essential Skills Extensive experience with Okuma lathes and mills or FANUC-controlled mills. Proficiency in Mastercam for CNC programming. Strong understanding of machining principles and GD&T. Ability to work independently and mentor junior machinists. Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding experience is a plus. Familiarity with tight-tolerance machining and custom part fabrication. Work Environment The position is located in a well-equipped facility with a standard shift from 7am to 3:30pm. You will work with advanced machinery, including Okuma and FANUC controls, in a setting that promotes safety and efficiency. Dress code is casual and appropriate for a manufacturing environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Saint Joseph, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
