$25-30/hrPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC milling and turning centers to produce precision components to print. The CNC Machinist will interpret engineering drawings, create or modify G-code, run Fanuc and Haas controls, perform in-process inspections, and work with engineers to optimize machining processes while ensuring parts meet GD&T requirements and quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, load, and operate CNC machines (mills and lathes) to produce production and prototype parts to prints and specifications.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T callouts to determine machining and inspection requirements.

Write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code and CNC programs; make offsets and parameter adjustments as needed.

Operate and maintain machines with Fanuc and Haas controls, including tool changes, fixturing, and process verification.

Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauges, and CMMs; document inspection results and maintain quality records.

Select and set cutting tools, determine feeds and speeds, and maintain tooling inventory and tool life records.

Identify and resolve machining issues, defects, and bottlenecks; recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and quality.

Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and comply with company and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support new product launches, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certificate in machining preferred.2+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience; experience with both milling and turning is a plus.

Proficient with G-Code programming and conversational programming; experience with Fanuc, Haas, or similar controls required.

Working knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and geometric tolerance interpretation.

Experienced using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and familiarity with CMM operation and inspection documentation.

Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Basic math skills and ability to calculate feeds, speeds, and tool paths; comfort using CNC software and shop floor computer systems.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment; reliable attendance and flexibility for shift work as required.
Preferred:
certifications such as NIMS or equivalent, experience with CAM software, and previous experience in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.
