About Bowen Machine Company Bowen Machine Company is a 45-year-old, family-owned, ISO 9001:2015 certified precision machine shop focused on quality, craftsmanship, and teamwork. Our clean, organized shop is equipped with modern CNC mills and lathes, and we take pride in doing things right the first time. We're growing and looking for an experienced and motivated CNC Machinist with CAD/CAM programming skills to join our team. This position requires the ability to independently write programs and set up CNC machines for production and job shop. The ideal candidate has a strong machining background and at least 5 years of CAD/CAM programming experience.
Key Responsibilities Programming & Setup:
Write CNC programs using CAD/CAM software and set up machines for production runs.
Blueprint Reading:
Read, interpret, and understand blueprints, drawings, and shop documents.
Tooling & Feeds:
Select and use proper tooling, set feeds/speeds, and make necessary adjustments for quality and efficiency.
Process Improvement:
Continuously refine cycle times, setups, and fixturing for better performance.
Quality Control:
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure precision and consistency.
Collaboration:
Provide feedback to estimators and supervisors on run times, tooling, and fixturing needs.
Housekeeping & Maintenance:
Keep machines and workspace clean and well-maintained.
Independence:
Manage your workload efficiently with minimal supervision.
Overtime:
Available when needed to meet production goals. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of CAD/CAM programming experience (Fusion 360 a plus) Strong setup and operation skills on CNC mills and lathes Able to read and edit G-code confidently Deep understanding of tooling, feeds, and speeds Proficiency with precision measuring tools Ability to work independently and stay on task Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and deadlines Schedule & Benefits Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (no nights or weekends) Health and life insurance Paid holidays and PTO 3% IRA match Overtime available How to Apply If you meet all the requirements above and are ready to join a company that values precision and pride in workmanship, apply today!
