Our pumps can be found in medical diagnostic equipment, fuel cell technology, and environmental sensing equipment among other emerging technologies across a wide range of markets. The CNC Machinist will independently set up and operate CNC lathes and mills and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision component parts used in pump assembly. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Set up and operate CNC and/or manual lathes and mills with minimal supervision Edit machine programs independently; perform CNC programming with guidance from senior personnel Design and machine fixtures and fabricate tooling with limited direction Adjust workpiece and tooling offsets to maintain part accuracy Read and interpret engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) to verify parts meet specifications Perform secondary operations, including cutting/preparing raw materials and washing parts as needed Achieve setup and run-time efficiency targets; proactively recommend and implement process improvements Complete required documentation, including work instructions and production paperwork Perform routine maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) on equipment in accordance with ISO standards Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety and quality Maintain 5S standards within assigned work areas Act in accordance with company policies and cultural programs Skills and Experience 4-year Certified Apprenticeship plus 2+ years of set-up experience, or 5+ years of set-up and operating experience required. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents (i.e., safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals), write routine reports and correspondence, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to calculate figures and amounts and have knowledge of the metric system or the ability to learn the metric system. Must have basic computer skills.
