Monday-Friday Machinist Responsibilities:

Operate metalworking tools to machine parts that meet specifications and quality requirements. Assist manufacturing to minimize unplanned downtime and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency. Maintain a clean workspace and organized tooling cabinet. Contribute to a multi-departmental team to resolve manufacturing problems. Design jigs, fixtures, and other equipment to enhance production efficiency. Follow all company policies, procedures, safety practices, and OSHA regulations. Recognize wasteful processes and implement improvements to increase production speed and efficiency. Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments and knowledge of trigonometry. Document process procedures during product development and prototyping phases. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Machinist Requirements:

At least 3-5 years of professional experience; 5+ years preferred. HS Diploma or GED required. Knowledge of welding techniques for plastics and metals. Good communication skills for collaboration with operations personnel and management. Ability to operate mobile equipment. Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings, with knowledge of quality requirements. Self-directed with limited supervision. Ability to work from prints, sketches, and instructions. Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Experience programming Bridgeport CNC Mill for part creation and modifications. Proficient with various hand and power tools, CNC machines, and lathes. Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 60 lbs. Walking and standing on concrete surfaces for 8+ hours daily.
