CNC Machinist

Our client, a metal fabrication and manufacturing company, is looking for a Machinist to join their team in Wayne, NJ. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality parts while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in production.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to produce accurate parts Set up and operate CNC and manual machines, including mills, lathes, drill presses, and band saws Prepare and run production jobs using Hurco systems and 3-axis milling machines Construct fixtures, jigs, and shop aids to support production processes Use measuring tools such as verniers, micrometers, and calipers to inspect and verify parts Perform daily maintenance on machines and equipment Monitor production quality and report any defects or issues to the supervisor Work efficiently while multitasking as needed Assist other departments with tasks, including lifting materials when required

Requirements:

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Experience operating machine shop equipment such as drill presses, saws, and CNC machines Ability to set up CNC milling and lathe jobs Strong ability to read blueprints and technical specifications Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude Ability to use measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently Ability to work independently
