This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment to manufacture precision components that meet customer specifications and quality requirements. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing projects from setup through final inspection. Our shop specializes in prototype and low-volume production work utilizing CNC mills, lathes, waterjet cutting, press brake forming, welding, and assembly services. Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer specifications. Select tooling, establish workholding, and determine machining strategies. Perform machine setups, tool offsets, and first-article inspections. Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements. Troubleshoot machining issues and make process improvements to increase efficiency and quality. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition. Assist with operation of other shop equipment including waterjet and CNC press brake as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and customer deadlines. Requirements Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience preferred. Experience programming and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints. Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Proficiency with precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of machining aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and plastics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
