Position Overview The Machinist III is responsible for independently operating, setting up, and troubleshooting a wide variety of CNC and/or manual machines. Key Responsibilities Independently set up, operate, conduct prove-outs, perform minor program edits, and troubleshoot CNC and/or manual machines. Inspect and verify conformance of machined parts using provided measurement tools and techniques. Overcome production interruptions and troubleshoot machine and tooling issues to minimize downtime. Mentor and train less experienced machinists. Collaborate with team members to maintain or improve production processes as well as participate in continuous improvement activities. Ensure all safety, quality, and production standards are met and maintained. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety procedures. Qualifications High school diploma required; vocational/technical certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machinist in a production environment. Understanding of precision measuring tools. Strong understanding of manufacturing prints and GD&T quality specifications.
Skills & Requirements:
Advanced expertise in CNC machine setup, precision machining, and a foundational knowledge of CNC programming. Strong troubleshooting abilities with an understanding of machining technologies. Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits Pay Range:
$30.00-38.00 (1st Shift) $34.50-43.70 (2nd Shift) Comprehensive benefits package including: Health insurance Life insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Paid holidays Long-term disability insurance
