In this energetic role, you will lead the setup, programming, and operation of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. As a leader, you will mentor team members, uphold safety standards, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to elevate our production capabilities. Duties Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc and Mazak controls and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to ensure precise machining. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part accuracy. Maintain optimal tooling and tooling setups; perform tool changes with hand tools and ensure proper tooling alignment. Lead daily machining operations by supervising team members, troubleshooting machine issues, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with design engineers using SolidWorks and CAD software to review designs for manufacturability. Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality across production processes. Support assembly processes involving welding when applicable. Operate forklifts and power tools safely to handle raw materials and finished parts. Experience Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong background in CNC programming, setup, and operation on both CNC lathe and milling machines. Hands-on knowledge of Fanuc controls, Mazak controls, CAM programming software, SolidWorks, CAD systems, and blueprint reading with GD&T proficiency. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of manufacturing processes including, welding, and assembly techniques. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMMs, and other tools for quality control. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high safety standards; previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred. Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements; knowledge of lean manufacturing practices highly valued. Valid certification in forklift operation is advantageous; willingness to learn additional skills such as power tools handling or welding is encouraged. Embark on a career where your technical expertise fuels innovation! We're committed to fostering an environment that values your skills while supporting your growth through ongoing training opportunities.
