Job Title:
Machining Manager Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Machining Production Manager to lead our team during the 6am-2:30pm shift. The primary responsibility of this role is to assess projects and efficiently manage a team of machinists, ensuring timely and quality completion of tasks. Responsibilities Assess and manage machining projects to ensure efficient workflow. Track response times and prioritize upcoming tasks. Assign machinists to tasks based on their skill levels and abilities. Act as a mentor to the machining team, particularly for less experienced workers. Step in and provide hands-on support when necessary. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a machine shop or team of machinists. At least 1 year of experience managing projects for a CNC team. Proficiency with tools such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers for working with small metal parts. Ability to read blueprints and drawings, with knowledge of CAD/CAM files being a bonus. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications High communication skills, strong attendance, and coachability. Expertise in machining, including experience with Haas, Mazak, tooling, EDM machines, and milling. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Freeville, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
