Job Description

The operator will utilize strong technical skills to operate manual Boring Mill machines, as required, to produce parts that meet specifications. The boring mill is x = 20 feet y = 10 feet. The Operator is to demonstrate safe work practices at all times and to identify areas of potential concern to management. This position is for 2nd shift; Mon-Thurs 2pm-12:30am
Job Responsibilities:
Proficiently operate manual Boring mill, as required, to produce parts that meet required specifications within the specified time standard. Perform basic in-process inspection using calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, ring gauges, and other visual Perform work piece and machine setups, minor tool changes, and offsets to ensure product specifications are met Help manage consumable inventory and suggest proper cutters and tooling as needed. Ability to identify issues and seek help to correct Complete required process documentation to ensure that quality parameters are maintained throughout the production Works safely and actively participate in all plant safety directives while adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed Self-motivated and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision Minimum 2 to 10 years of machining operation with technical training from an accredited institution for Machining Understands and demonstrates comprehension of drawings, blueprints, and Manufacturing work instructions
Physical Requirements:
The daily physical requirements for this position are broken down as follows:
CONTINUOUS
(75-100% of shift): Sitting, standing
FREQUENT
(25-75% of shift): Walking, bending, and climbing stairs.
OCCASIONAL
(1-25% of shift): Stooping, twisting, squatting, and reaching above shoulders. Preferred Prior experience with manual operation with metals in tight tolerance Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Linita Design & Manufacturing specializes in the manufacturing of Water Control Equipment such Intake Gates, Bulkhead Gates, Stoplogs, Trashracks.
