Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to take ownership of our turning department. This is a setup-level position where you will be responsible for transforming raw bar stock into complex, tight-tolerance cylindrical components. You will interpret advanced engineering drawings, perform complete machine setups, select appropriate workholding and cutting tools, and edit G-code at the controller to ensure a flawless manufacturing run.
Lathe Setup & Execution:
Independently set up, adjust, and operate 2-axis and multi-axis CNC Lathes / Turning Centers (e.g., Haas, Mazak, Mori Seiki, Okuma, or Citizen Swiss machines).
Tooling & Workholding:
Install and align jaws, chucks, collets, boring bars, and turning inserts; accurately set tool geometries, touch off tools, and establish part zero coordinates.
Live Tooling & Multi-Axis Operations:
(Preferred) Set up and run lathes equipped with live tooling, C-axis, and sub-spindles to perform secondary milling, drilling, and tapping operations in a single setup.
G-Code Editing:
Read and interpret G-code/M-code fluently; perform edits at the machine control panel to adjust tool paths, manage feed rates/spindle speeds, and correct programming errors.
