Job Description
Pacron is looking to add a Part-Time Machinist to our Maintenance Department. If you have a passion for machining, metal fabrication, and creating custom parts, we encourage you to apply. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating manual and/or CNC lathes, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities Operate and set up lathe machines to fabricate and repair metal components. Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and measurements to produce parts to specification. Perform machining, drilling, cutting, threading, and other fabrication tasks as needed. Inspect completed parts for quality and accuracy. Maintain equipment and keep work areas clean and organized. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while operating machinery. Assist the Maintenance Department with special projects and equipment repairs as needed. Opportunity to work on a variety of custom fabrication projects. Personal fabrication projects may be permitted with prior management approval and outside of scheduled work responsibilities. Qualifications Previous lathe and machining experience required. Experience with metal fabrication and machining practices. Ability to safely operate shop equipment and hand tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
