Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Deburring Technician specializing in aircraft parts! In this vital role, you will be responsible for meticulously removing burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from precision aircraft components to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship and contribute to the production of reliable, high-performance aircraft parts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment and develop your skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities Use hand tools, abrasive tools, and automated equipment to deburr aircraft parts with precision and care. Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and other fabrication machinery to prepare components for finishing. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate deburring processes. Set up and program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software; troubleshoot issues as they arise. Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment; assist with packaging and assembly line tasks as needed. Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions meet strict standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; document work performed accurately for traceability. Qualifications Proven factory experience working in manufacturing or machining environments, preferably within aerospace or similar high-precision industries. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming (Fanuc controllers preferred), CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar tools, and CAM programming. Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and use of precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers. Experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses is highly desirable. Ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling used in fabrication processes. Knowledge of materials handling procedures including forklift operation; familiarity with packaging standards for aerospace components. Basic math skills necessary for measuring dimensions accurately; understanding of quality control processes essential. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a manufacturing setting.
