CNC Machinist Department:
Production Position Description:
Set up program and operate diverse operations on a variety of CNC machines. Use engineering drawings, AutoCAD files and other TTI specifications to produce close tolerance mechanical parts. Set up and run various other production equipment as required to produce quality mechanical parts.Reports To:

Vocational training and/or experience. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well. Ability to accurately read measuring devices and engineering drawings and interpret geometric tolerances. Must be able to learn the programming functions of the various CNC controllers utilized by TTI. Must be able to execute mathematical trigonometric calculations. Must possess good verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.Position Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds safely. Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, lift and twist. Must be able to juggle multiple projects while following through on all required tasks. Respond quickly and efficiently. Capable of memorizing and following procedures for multiple assignments. Must be able to tolerate an occasional noisy environment as well as many different functions operating in and around the area at one time.Position Criteria:
1. Adheres to the confidentiality policy of Telesis Technologies, Inc. 2. Shows support of Telesis through speech and actions. 3. Complies with all of Telesis rules and regulations. 4. Ability to interface positively with all levels of personnel and to be a team player. 5. Conducts and dresses themselves in a professional manner at all times. 6. Other duties as assigned. 7. Follows safe work practices at all times.Functions:
- Accepts responsibility for performing functions assigned within the machining work cell as developed by Telesis Technologies.
- Be knowledgeable of and understand all documentation used in the machining work cell.
- Set up and operate CNC Machines, milling machines, surface grinder, lathe, cut off saw and drill press. Perform preventative maintenance as required by TTI policy.
- Be knowledgeable and understand the programming of the CNC controllers utilized by TTI equipment. Must be competent with the CNC controller to complete new set-ups, incorporate program updates, and modify programs for new jobs.
- Participates in cross training both as a trainee and a trainer in the machining work cell and throughout Telesis Technologies, Inc.
- Follows production drawings, written assembly procedures, sample parts and receives verbal instructions regarding job duties to be performed.
- Performs measuring and inspection to ensure parts meet production and engineering specifications and are free from defects.
- Generate Engineering Change Requests and Corrective Action Requests when needed to ensure a quality product.
- Be aware of and report any potential problems to Group Leader, supervisor or manufacturing designee.
- Maintains a clean, safe and functional work area.
