Job Description

CNC Machinist Job Description Job Summary Pleasant Precision is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Experience operating Okuma CNC lathes is preferred and considered an asset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality precision components. In this role, the CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and maintaining equipment to support efficient production operations. Candidates should be capable of working in a manufacturing environment while consistently meeting quality and tolerance standards. Pleasant Precision specializes in the design and manufacture of tight-tolerance injection molds. Duties Set up, program, and operate CNC machinery, including lathes, milling machines and electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to determine precise machining requirements. Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify product accuracy and compliance with specifications. Program CNC equipment to optimize machining efficiency and production quality. Perform routine maintenance and preventive upkeep on machinery to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and workplace safety. Conduct in-process and final quality inspections to maintain strict quality and tolerance standards. Collaborate with team members and production personnel to troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements. Experience Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in precision machining operations. Proficiency in CNC machine programming and the use of precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety.
