Job Description
CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality steel components that meet customer specifications and tight tolerances. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards. This is a 1st shift 8a-4p M/F and pay is $37K-$73K BOE. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines
- Interpret blueprints, routers, and engineering drawings
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures
- Monitor machining operations to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
- Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
- Make adjustments to machine settings to maintain tolerances
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all safety and quality procedures Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CNC machines (turning or milling preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances and precision measurements
- Experience with steel materials and machining processes preferred
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Experience
- 2+ years CNC machining experience
- Experience machining alloy steels, stainless steel, or hardened materials
- Experience with G-code editing or machine programming
- Familiarity with Fanuc or similar CNC controls Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
