Competitive hourly wages, performance-based and commensurate with experience Position Overview Fabriweld Corporation is seeking a highly skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our precision machining department. In this role, you will be a vital link in our production chain, responsible for executing complex, high-precision projects. Utilizing your deep mechanical aptitude and mastery of precision measuring instruments, you will collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and leadership to maintain our rigorous standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Setup:
Set up, program, and operate a variety of machining equipment, with a primary focus on CNC lathes, as well as grinders, drills, and milling machines.
Technical Blueprint Review:
Analyze and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, process sheets, and physical samples to ensure absolute production accuracy.
Task Planning & Execution:
Independently sequence machining tasks, select appropriate tooling, and determine optimal speeds, feeds, and machine settings for each custom project.
Real-Time Quality Control:
Monitor production in real-time, performing in-process inspections using standard precision measuring tools. Document dimensions and adjust settings to eliminate defects.
Material Handling:
Safely maneuver materials and completed components throughout the facility utilizing forklifts, overhead cranes, and other rigging/moving equipment.
Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine daily machine maintenance, monitor fluid levels, and identify/troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Team Collaboration:
Maintain clear, proactive communication with the Shop Foreman, Engineering team, and Project Managers to ensure timeline alignment.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or journeyman certification is a strong plus.
Experience:
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a job shop environment preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Mazatrol Lathe programming and operation experience is highly desired.
Measurement Mastery:
Advanced shop math skills and expert proficiency with standard measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, etc.).
Problem Solving:
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to adapt to unique, low-volume/high-mix production runs. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Comfortable working in a fast-paced, active manufacturing shop floor environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and maintain balance for extended periods. Excellent manual dexterity and tactile feel for handling intricate components. Ability to safely and frequently lift and move components weighing up to 40 pounds.

Full-Time.
Hours:
Standard hours are dictated by production workload and project deadlines. Candidates should expect regular opportunities for overtime (exceeding 40 hours per week) to support client demands.
