Job Description

Maintenance Machine Repair Summary :
The Machine Repair is responsible for ensuring production and quality by guaranteeing the operation of mechanical equipment and machinery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair by using cranes, hoists, chain falls, hand tools, and jacks. Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements. Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications. Put machine parts together after accomplishing maintenance and repair work. Completes appropriate paperwork and machine documentation. Assists other maintenance team members in meeting department requirements while serving as a resource to production, engineering and other plant personnel. Other individual maintenance craft knowledge considered a plus. Work independently with little supervision. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Exhibit outstanding ability to learn and comprehend the fundamentals of the functioning machines. Excellent general understanding of hydraulic systems with display of mastery in troubleshooting by utilizing deductive reasoning and schematics. Quality of Work The ability displayed and accuracy of work produced, meeting company standards, and requiring little to no rework. Judgement/Knowledge of Job Knowledge of job, techniques, skills, equipment, procedures, materials, etc. Attendance/Dependability Punctuality and attendance. Teamwork/ Attitude Willingness and cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors; ability to accept constructive criticism. Initiative/Independence The degree to which an employee searches out new tasks and expands their ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision. Adherence to Policy Follow quality environmental policies and have knowledge of AS9100 and IS14001. Adherence to Safety Follow safety procedures, security protocol, and wear proper PPE. Education and/or Experience Highschool Diploma or Equivalent (GED), 3+ years previous manufacturing experience, Journeyman's Card is preferred. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
