CNC Machinist

We are a small AS9100 registered machine shop with openings in both our milling and turning departments. With a wide variety of machines and a high mix/low volume production schedule, our employees enjoy some variety working on different machines and parts. Due to the tolerances and diverse nature of our part catalogue, we seek machinists with a solid foundational knowledge. Previous precision machining experience is essential! Once on board, there are opportunities to expand your skill set moving around the shop to different machines. Wage varies by experience. Skilled machinists are desired and will be paid accordingly!

Employees are expected to:

Read and understand blueprints, perform shop math, and complete shop floor documentation. Set and Maintain tools in the machine as well as manage machine offsets to achieve tight tolerances and hold those tolerances throughout the production lot. Be proficient with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators. Milling Emphasis Proficiently set-up and operate a manual vertical milling machine. Proficiently set-up and operate a CNC vertical 4 axis machining center. Experience running Haas mills is required. Experience running Mazak mills is a plus! Programming is not required but the ability to make minor edits to programs at the machine is expected. Turning Emphasis Proficiently set-up and operate a toolroom lathe. Proficiently set-up and operate a CNC turning center. Experience running Hardinge and Mazak lathes is a plus! Fanuc experience a plus. Programming is not required but the ability to make minor edits to programs at the machine is expected.
