Job Description

Position Summary A custom precision machine shop in Athens County is seeking a motivated, reliable entry‐level candidate with MIG welding experience to join their team. Recent graduates from vocational or technical programs are strongly encouraged to apply. This role offers hands‐on training, growth opportunities, and the chance to learn advanced machining skills in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on a variety of custom and precision components Operate or assist with operating manual lathes (training provided if needed) Support machining, fabrication, and shop production tasks as assigned Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines This is a direct-hire, full-time position hiring immediately. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Pay is competitive and will grow with the candidate as they learn and are trained. This employer has PTO, paid holidays, and health insurance is available. Qualifications MIG welding experience required (school-based or professional) Experience with manual lathes is a plus; willing to train the right candidate Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills Reliable, dedicated, and committed to high-quality work Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
