Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist with strong Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) experience to join their team in Broken Arrow. This is a hands-on role supporting industrial valve and mechanical equipment repair operations within a shop environment. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong manual machining experience who takes pride in precision work, problem-solving, and producing high-quality finished parts. •
Shift:
•6am-4:30pm (some overtime may be required)
Pay:
$25.00-$30.00/hr DOE Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs) Machine and repair industrial components to precise tolerances Read and interpret blueprints, machining drawings, and work orders Perform precision measurements and inspections using appropriate tools Support repair and refurbishment of valve and mechanical equipment components Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Work closely with shop personnel to support production schedules and project timelines Qualifications Strong experience operating manual VTL equipment or similar required Ability to read blueprints and machining drawings Experience working with tight tolerances and precision machining Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable work history and strong work ethic High School Diploma or GED required You should be proficient in: Troubleshooting Skills Tape Measure Reading Precision Measurement & Hand Metrology Manual Machining Skills Machines & technologies you'll use: Manual Lathe
