Machinist Class C (ED-361) (2956) Waukesha-Pearce Industries United States, Oklahoma, Tulsa 6303 South 40th West Avenue (Show on map) May 11, 2026
Description Scope of Work:
As a Machinist, you will program, set-up, adjust, and operate manual and/or Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining center, lathes, and milling machines where set-up, detail and operating procedures are prescribed; manual machining involves special one-off parts or prototype parts.
Job Responsibilities:
Studies blueprints, sketches, drawing and specifications Set-up bore gauges and other inspection equipment Complete all required paperwork including labor reporting and documentation of quality control and material movement Work safely and maintain the work area with high standards of housekeeping Performs required Preventative Maintenance activities on machinery and/or equipment operated Performs manual machining and CNC machining under the direction of Machinist Journeyman or Supervisor Performs other duties as assigned by
Supervision Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
G.E.D. or
High School Diploma Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Knowledge and experience of machining practices and techniques Basic Mechanical principles Shop mathematics Blueprint reading Standing for long periods of time, bending, reaching sitting, medium to heavy lifting (medium = 50 pounds maximum/25 pounds frequently, heavy = 100 pounds maximum/50 pounds frequently), visual acuity, and hand dexterity Knowledge of CNC controls Forklift operation experience Knowledge of precision measuring tools
Working Conditions:
